How Scoring Works
Understanding your interview scores
Overview
After each interview session, your answers are scored across four dimensions on a 1-5 scale. These dimensions capture what real interviewers look for: clear communication, complete answers, specific details, and demonstrated ownership.
Your overall score (1-10) is a weighted average, with Leadership weighted highest because it's what separates good answers from great ones.

The Four Dimensions
Clarity
How clearly you communicate your answer. Is it easy to follow? Is it well-structured?
Score Levels:
How to Improve:
- Use STAR structure explicitly
- Pause before answering to organize thoughts
- Avoid tangents and stay focused on the question
Completeness
Did you cover all parts of STAR? Situation, Task, Action, and Result?
Score Levels:
How to Improve:
- Mentally check off S-T-A-R as you answer
- Result is often forgotten — always end with outcomes
- Task is often merged with Situation — keep them distinct
Depth
The level of specific detail. Metrics, concrete examples, and your thought process.
Score Levels:
How to Improve:
- Always include numbers: %, $, time, users
- Name specific tools, processes, or frameworks
- Explain WHY you made decisions, not just what
Leadership
Did you show ownership, initiative, and impact? Were YOU the driver?
Score Levels:
How to Improve:
- Use "I" instead of "we" for your actions
- Show decisions YOU made and why
- Highlight initiative you took beyond what was asked
Tracking Progress
Your scores are tracked over time
- • View dimension trends across sessions in your dashboard
- • See which areas are improving and which need work
- • The AI identifies recurring gaps in your answers
- • Use "Practice Again" to retry the same questions and measure improvement
